Another solid week with 76 points.
- Pogba delivered
- Last minute captaincy switch to Salah paid off
- Martial was trolling
- Wan B proving a bonus magnet
- Aubameyang/Kane justifying their price tag
- Richarlison got some returns and is fresh for the next one
Looking ahead to GW20, I will be saving the move even though the team is not amazing. Those who know me well will know that I like the flexibility 2FTs brings and moving ahead I’m looking to make 2x 2 transfer moves either to switch from a premium forward (Aubameyang) to a premium midfielder (Hazard) or make some changes to my defence and bring in the likes of Digne, Robertson, TAA, Shaw etc. I’m hoping Balbuena gets fit else I won’t be too upset having Doherty off the bench this week.
As for the captaincy, Salah is ahead based on the numbers and I see no reason to deviate this week especially since he is very likely to start this weekend as it is a big game for Liverpool while there is always the chance Kane gets a breather. For that reason as well, Pogba will be my VC due to his security of starting as well as United having another decent home fixture.
As a word of advice, we can’t own every single good asset and it’s important to have patience in this game as hopping on and off players often burns us. With this week being a high scoring week where a number of popular assets all returned double digit hauls, Salah, Hazard, Anderson, Son, Eriksen, Pogba, Sigurdsson etc., it is tempting to desperately try to fit these guys in but the truth is we can’t. And those who did not deliver like Martial, Mane, Sterling, Sane have not become lousy options overnight and it could be their turn this week. We just need to find the right mix of players and fill our team up with as many of them and just be patient.
